Our Story

This is Us.

Hi, friend! I’m Deb Buckingham. A midwest girl brought west, obsessed with all things creative who turned a craft into a creative business.

A little bit about me: I am a mother of 2 beautiful girls, a grandma to Jasmine and Asher, a wife to a wonderfully supportive husband, a sister, a daughter, a friend to many, and a women with a vision. Life is precious and living it to the fullest is what I strive for most days. I’m a dreamer, a goal setter, a business woman, and a woman on a mission at all times.

I’m a self taught knitter, though growing up I watched my mom and grandma knit sweaters. My first project was a scarf. I worked the night shift as a hospice nurse and needed something to do with my hands as my patients slept.

I love beautiful fibers, unique scissors, and project bags of all kinds.

Did I mention how much I LOVE coffee? Oh my, YES!

I enjoy creating knitting patterns that leave you feeling accomplished. My focus is the novice knitter or anyone looking for a simple project away from the more challenging ones.

My favorite things to design are baby blankets, socks, and dishcloths. Of course, dishcloths, right? They were my (humble) beginning. smiling

My family is my everything.

When you have the support of your person, in this case my amazing, handsome husband, you can make any dream a reality.

With that said, I’m a real person with real ideas. A woman who has a passion for her career as a Knit/Crochet Designer, photographer, and author. I’m learning to color outside the lines and think in different directions. I enjoy a walk outside among nature, camera slung over my shoulder, capturing what life has to show me. You can also find me nestled in my favorite chair, in front of my favorite design show knitting.

When I’m not nesting, I’m reading a great book or spending time with my family. My life is a blessing, and I don’t take it for granted.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Knit On!

  1. Deb,

I am a Special Education teacher in Brighton, Colorado. I would love to know if you ever come to speak to students/teachers/parents in regards to writing?

If you could please get back to me on this, I would so sincerely appreciate it.
